Located on the border of Fulton and Miami counties in Indiana and an hour south of South Bend, Nyona Lake, surrounded by farm land, is a community of summer homes with an increasing population of year round residents. In the 1960s, my neighbor was the only child who got off the school bus. Today, there are substantially more children.
As of the summer of 2007, Nyona Lake has entered the realm of developing communities with the installation of a sewer system. Perhaps it will bring more people to enjoy the location year round. It will, no doubt, make the lake itself a cleaner lake where fish can grow and fisherman can fish the day away.
There are photographs in this site taken during 1988, 2000 and 2001. Many are of the lake community but a few are a bit beyond, particularly the Fulton county 4-H Fair, some portraits and some assorted landscapes. I'm from the city. Cows seem to be an interesting subject.
